Tucked near the World Trade Center, O'Hara's Pub became a familiar gathering place for first responders after September 11, 2001.
In the months and years that followed, firefighters, police officers, and military personnel began arriving from across the country and around the world. They came to pay their respects, stayed for the company, and left something meaningful behind: a patch.
A simple patch, stapled to the wall, became a sign of service, remembrance, and connection.
Today, the walls tell the story of thousands of people who serve: a living memorial built one visit at a time.
